GreenThumb ("we", "our", or "the app") is developed and operated by Giacomo Matzeu as a solo developer based in Italy. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the GreenThumb mobile application.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and optional display name. This is required to provide personalized plant care features.
Plant Data: Photos you take for plant identification and disease diagnosis, your plant collection details, care schedules, and watering history.
Location Data (approximate): With your permission, we collect approximate location to provide weather-aware plant care scheduling. You can disable this at any time in your device settings.
Community Content: If you use the community features, we collect the posts, comments, and interactions you create.
Calendar Data: If you enable calendar sync, the app creates watering reminder events on your device calendar. This data stays on your device.
Usage Data: We may collect crash logs and basic app interaction data to improve the app experience.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not share your data for advertising or marketing purposes. Data is only sent to the service providers listed above to deliver app functionality.
Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers. All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your information from unauthorized access.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days. Certain data may be retained in encrypted backups for up to 90 days after deletion.

GreenThumb is designed for a general audience aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.
